This multifamily asset features nearly 200 units with a spacious community room, resort-style pool and 24-hour fitness center. Liberty Apartments is the residential component of a larger $72 million mixed-use development project that was born out of a public-private partnership between the City of Newport News, the Commonwealth of Virginia and Armada Hoffler. In addition to Liberty Apartments, the mixed-use development included an 81,000 square-foot complex, home to Newport News Shipbuilding’s Apprentice School, as well as street-level retail space and a 380-car parking garage on approximately 6 acres of land.
