CEO and President, Shawn Tibbetts, named to the Virginia Business 2025-26 Virginia 500 Power List
On Jan. 1, Tibbetts became Armada Hoffler’s CEO, succeeding Louis Haddad, who’s now executive chairman. In 2024, Tibbetts became the clear successor at the real estate investment trust when he was promoted to president in addition to his previous position of chief operating officer.
Before joining the company in 2019, Tibbetts was the Port of Virginia’s president and COO. Under his leadership, Armada Hoffler’s portfolio net operating income grew by 45%, and he oversaw more than $1.2 billion in transactions.
Armada Hoffler operates across seven mid-Atlantic states and had an estimated $80.4 million third-party construction contract backlog as of March 31. It has over 160 employees, and in 2024, the company reported $708 million in total revenue, up from $667 million in 2023. Virginia Beach Town Center is one of the company’s premier projects.
