Armada Hoffler Employees Participate in Morning of Hope Walk
The Hampton Roads Morning of Hope is an event held annually in Virginia Beach that promotes mental health by raising awareness of depression as a treatable disease and of suicide as a preventable tragedy. Every year, thousands of people gather to participate in this event including people from seven cities and all five military branches. This year, more than 3,000 people were in attendance, including the Armada Hoffler Outreach Committee who was represented by 18 employees and spouses, three children, four dogs, and one kitten. This was the sixth year that Armada Hoffler Properties participated in the event.
The Hampton Roads Morning of Hope is locally sponsored by the Hampton Roads Survivors of Suicide Support Group Inc., a non-profit organization for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Because the event is organized by a local group, all donations raised are used for local needs and issues.
Armada Hoffler’s Outreach Committee supports a variety of nonprofits and charitable organizations every year such as the Hampton Roads Morning of Hope. For more information on the Company’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community, please visit the Community Involvement section of our website.
